4The scene in 41992 Yes, the year is over, so now let's take a look back. 4The 4productions 2-------------------------------------- 1What can be easily noticed, is that 2quality demos1 were released only on parties. It is very fortunate that so many parties were held, but I think coders should consider releasing NICE demos between parties, and keep the scene alive. I know that if you work hard on a production you want some money from it, but that is what will 2ruin the scene.1 Lots of demos are released on parties, and that's good, but please release stuffs other times, too! Here are the most successful demos of 1992, in chronological order: 3Cat 1by Crionics & TSL - Denmark 2D.O.S.1 by Andromeda - Norway 1Multica 1by Andromeda - Norway 3Wayfarer 1by Spaceballs - Norway 2Humantarget 1by Melon Dezign - France 1Optimum Fuckup1 by Sanity - Germany 3Guardian Dragon 2 1by Kefrens - Denmark 2S.O.S. 1by Melon Dezign - Denmark 1Point Blank1 by Andromeda - Norway 3In the kitchen 1by Anarchy - Denmark 2Sound Vision 1by Reflect - Finland 1Flower Power 1by Anarchy - Germany 3Static Chaos 1by The Silents - Germany 2Wicked Sensation 1by TRSI - Germany 1State of the Art 1by Spaceballs - Norw. 33-D Demo 2 1by Anarchy - Denmark 4Comments: - Where the hell is 2Sweden??!!1 - All demos were released on a party. - The demos didn't develop as much as in '91. The magic word behind all is 2DESIGN!1 3File demos1 were released every day, so packs are very useful contrary to some mag writers' opinion. 2(check Hotline)1 There were really nice pieces of 3slideshows 1and 3musicdisks1 released: 4Musicdisks 2Crystal Symphonies 2 1by Phenomena - Sweden 1Legalize it 1 and 21 by Anarchy - England 3Multimegamix 2 and 3 1by Kefrens - Denmark 4Slides 2Mirror 1by Andromeda - Norway 3Color Crime 1by X-Trade - Germany 1Museum 1by Alcatraz - Co-op. 2Focused on Art1 byAnarchy - Holland 3Forgotten 1by Mirage - Holland 1Masterpieces 1by Kefrens - Denmark 2Prism 1byMelon Dezign - France @IPshurkasC 4Comments: - These productions really show the big 2development1 in Amiga gfx and music. - It is simply amazing what artists can draw, but why always 3dragons, heros 1and other nasties? - Lots of 2techno1 musicdisks were released, but none of them became famous. The most of the famous ones feature 2love & jazz songs.1 The biggest boom was in the 3diskmag scene.1 Lots of the big ones died, like 2Zine or Hack-Mag.1 But this didn't shocked the scene because more and more mags were produced, already existing mags were developed a lot, so the competition and the excitement did grow a lot. And anyone can say what he wants, but this is good for sure! The Zine mania became a 2RAW mania,1 but other mags like Stolen Data or McDisk are standing the competition. The 2mags of '921 were: 3RAW 1by PMC - Norway 2Stolen Data1 by Anarchy - Various 1McDisk 1by Alcatraz - Germany 3Top Secret 1by Majic 12 - Denmark 2Maggy 1by Complex - Finland 1Magbox 1by Balance - Denmark 3Grapevine1 by LSD - England Other 2promising mags1 were: 2Eternal1 by Rebels - Turkey 3Sl1***3e Ha1***3r1 by A*******! - Hu****y The great 2message centers1 were: 3Chit Chat 1by Mirage - Holland 1Message Center1 by Addonic- Switzerland 2LIVE 1by TSB - France And of course we mustn't forget about the fab 3Eurochart1 with the new publishers: 2Static Bytes.1 All in all, 1992 3wasn't bad 1at all (what a rhyme!). The mag scene is better than ever, so keep supporting. The other prods were very nice, but again, releasing 2only on parties1 will ruin the scene. @IPfester
